We are excited to present the second episode of Supporting Resilience in Healthcare, the podcast from the Support4Resilience project—an EU-funded initiative dedicated to strengthening resilience and mental well-being in elderly care.
This episode focuses on those who provide care daily, both professional and informal caregivers. Host Daniel Adrian Lungu, Associate Professor in Health Services Research, is joined by PhDcandidate Maha Kamran to discuss the challenges caregivers face across Europe, particularly in Norway. They explore the causes of stress and burnout, the psychological and emotional impact of caregiving, and possible future scenarios for improving support systems.
One of the key goals of Support4Resilience is to gather real-world data on these issues to drive meaningful change. The discussion in this episode lays the groundwork for the project’s ongoing research, with findings set to be shared in a future episode after data analysis is complete.
In this episode, you’ll also discover:
- The current state of elderly care and caregiver well-being across Europe.
- The differences between professional and informal caregiving roles.
- How the Support4Resilience project aims to improve conditions for caregivers.
